An automation-ready cluster is a cluster in which the RealTheory Collector has permission to change workloads.
Automation is opt-in. Automation is disabled by default and enabled by you. When you enable automation, RealTheory can make configuration changes within the scope and parameters of your automation profiles, including any default values that you have not changed. See Automation Opt-In Requirements Explained.
Prerequisites
Procedure
To make a cluster automation-ready, follow Installing RealTheory in a Cluster, and turn on Make this cluster automation-ready before you generate the YAML.
Important: To make a cluster that RealTheory already monitors automation-ready, generate the YAML again with Make this cluster automation-ready turned on, and apply the YAML to the same cluster. Applying the YAML updates all of the cluster's settings, not only automation-ready, so set the other options to the values that you want the cluster to keep.
