The dashboard is RBAC-aware, so each user sees only the costs for the clusters and objects they have access to. #### Added support for synthetic labels RealTheory synthetic labels let you add, edit, delete, and clear labels on any object from clusters down to pods, directly from the object's **INFO** tab. Labels can be propagated to all or a subset of an object's subordinate objects. Object labels can be used anywhere label selectors are supported, including policies, rules, and search. #### Added assignments views for profile-based features New Assignments views for cost rate cards and optimization profiles show which profile is assigned to each cluster, making it easier to confirm coverage and spot misassignments. Find them under **Settings** > **Cost** and **Settings** > **Optimization**. #### Added support for individual user API keys Each user can now generate and manage their own API key from **My Profile** to authenticate API requests from third-party tools and integrations, including MCP clients. #### Added recommendation triggers for webhooks Webhooks, configured in **Settings** > **Webhooks**, can now trigger based on recommendation impact (High, Medium, or Low), the object type the recommendation is raised against, or category (cost, performance, reliability, or governance). Your team gets notified about the recommendations that matter most, through the tools it already uses. ### June 2026 #### Added delay configuration to performance and utilization rules The Rule Logic section for performance and utilization rules now includes a Delay field, allowing you to control how long after a target object is created before the rule takes effect. ### May 2026 #### Added name and description to the Webhook workflow Webhooks can now be assigned a name and an optional description, making it easier to identify and manage integrations across teams. The name is required and must be unique. ### April 2026 #### Added node pool right-sizing recommendations RealTheory now provides right-sizing recommendations for node pools across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Recommendations identify opportunities to optimize node type and node count based on workload requirements and include the annualized cost impact for each node pool. A Decision Rationale section explains the reasoning behind each recommendation, helping teams evaluate and act on suggested changes with confidence. #### Added alert severity breakdown to Quick Views The Alerts column in Quick Views now displays a color-coded breakdown of alert counts by severity — Critical, High, and Normal — across all levels. This provides immediate visibility into the relative impact of alerts at a glance. #### Improved label consistency when cloning rules Resolved an issue where cloning a rule could result in labels being inconsistently applied, which affected rule filtering results. ### March 2026 #### Added label evaluation to the Webhook workflow When configuring a webhook to trigger on specific Kubernetes objects, you can now evaluate any labels you have specified to confirm which resources match before saving. ### February 2026 #### Added networking throughput data to Metrics tabs Transmitted and received throughput data is now available in the Networking subsection on the Metrics tab. Each metric links to a corresponding time series chart, allowing you to explore throughput trends over time. #### Added Reservations data to the Allocated Resources tab on the Cluster panel The Allocated Resources tab on the Cluster information panel now includes a Reservations section, which displays aggregated CPU, memory, and ephemeral storage request and limit data across all nodes in the cluster. Each value includes the percentage of the cluster's allocatable capacity it represents, providing a quick overview of how cluster resources are being consumed. #### Added Pod Reservations table to the Allocated Resources tab on the Node panel The Allocated Resources tab on the Node information panel now includes a Pod Reservations section, which lists resource requests and limits for all pods scheduled on the node. Each CPU and memory value includes the percentage of the node's allocatable capacity it represents, making it easier to assess how node resources are being consumed. #### Added summary information to container section titles on the Pod Containers tab The Containers tab on the Pod information panel now displays each container's type, state, and ready status directly in the section title. This allows you to quickly assess the condition of all containers in a pod at a glance, without needing to expand each section individually. #### Added upgrade available indicator to the Agent Management view The Agent Management table in **Settings** > **Agent** > **Management** now includes an Upgrade Available column that indicates when the RealTheory Collector agent deployed to a cluster is running an outdated version. Keeping agents up to date ensures access to the latest improvements and feature support. ### January 2026 #### Added support for SKU-based rate cards RealTheory now supports SKU-based rate cards for defining infrastructure costs. This allows teams to map provider SKUs to custom rates, enabling more accurate and flexible cost calculations that better reflect negotiated pricing. #### Added support for controlling Kubernetes API group access to the RealTheory agent Users can now define additional Kubernetes API groups that the RealTheory agent is allowed to access beyond the default configuration. This provides greater control over API visibility while helping teams align agent permissions with security and governance requirements. #### Added support for multi-architecture RealTheory agent The RealTheory agent is now available as a multi-architecture image, enabling deployment on clusters running different CPU architectures. This improves compatibility across heterogeneous environments and simplifies agent deployment without requiring architecture-specific configuration. ### November 2025 #### Added support for deleting Jira tickets created from RealTheory Users can now delete Jira tickets that were created directly from RealTheory recommendations. This provides greater control over ticket lifecycle management and allows teams to remove tickets that are no longer needed or were created in error. #### Added pagination controls to cost time series charts Pagination controls have been added to the 7-day, 31-day, and 1-year cost time series data charts to allow users to navigate through historical cost data more easily. This makes it simpler to review trends over longer periods without overcrowding the chart view. ### October 2025 #### Added support for creating Jira tickets directly from RealTheory recommendations Users can now easily create Jira tickets directly from RealTheory recommendations. Integration profiles define the Jira provider (Cloud or Data Center), account, project, and default issue type, allowing teams to quickly route optimization actions to the right Jira project and improve workflow efficiency and tracking across environments. ### September 2025 #### Added custom configuration for right-sizing recommendations Right-sizing recommendations can now be customized to give teams more flexibility in how they act on RealTheory’s guidance. This allows you to adjust CPU and memory configurations to best match operational needs while still ensuring baseline compute requirements are met. ### August 2025 #### Added enhanced right-sizing recommendation details panel Right-sizing recommendations now offer an enhanced details panel that displays CPU and memory charts for both current and recommended resource requests. The panel also highlights whether the recommendation will provide cost, performance, or reliability optimizations (or a combination of these benefits). For users who prefer the previous layout, the legacy details panel remains available and can be accessed at any time via a simple toggle switch. #### Added KIP to Reports views KIP, RealTheory’s conversational AI assistant, is now available within Reports, enabling you to quickly query and interpret cost, usage, and performance data without leaving the view. KIP can answer questions, explain trends, and guide you to relevant details, helping you analyze report data more efficiently. ### July 2025 #### Introducing KIP: Your RealTheory Trusted Advisor We’re pleased to introduce KIP, RealTheory’s conversational AI assistant, designed to help you access insights more efficiently. Using natural language queries, KIP can help you interpret recommendations, uncover optimization opportunities, and quickly retrieve relevant data to enhance your experience and improve productivity. #### Added right-sizing recommendations to reflect optimization goals Right-sizing recommendations are customized based on the optimization goal you set, providing more relevant guidance for adjusting CPU and memory resources. These recommendations reflect each resource's active Optimization Profile, which prioritizes performance, cost savings, or a balanced approach. Profiles can be assigned manually or applied at scale using Optimization Policies, allowing flexible alignment with your organizational structure. #### Added agent quiescing controls Users can now control whether newly deployed agents start as active or inactive and can update the active/inactive state of agents already running in their environment. This provides teams with greater flexibility in managing agent behavior and data collection. #### Links to objects now honor your preferred view Previously, object name links always opened the source object in the Visualization view. You can now set a preferred view—either Visualizations or Quick Views—on your **My Profile** page, and object links will default to that selection. A new menu next to each link lets you choose between both views, making it easy to select the most appropriate option without changing your default. #### Improved support for custom version check rules You can now specify the Impact level (High, Medium, Low) when creating a custom version check rule, making it easier to indicate how critical it is when an application is running a non-compliant version. #### Improved Group search in User workflow Resolved an issue where, in environments with a large number of Groups, the Find bar in the Add Groups section of the Add/Edit User modal was only searching a subset of Groups. This could cause valid search matches to be missed. #### Improved search and sort behavior in User workflow Resolved an issue where sorting and searching on the **Settings** > **Team** > **Users** view was case sensitive. This caused searches to return only exact-case matches and sorted results to be split into separate upper- and lower-case groupings. Sorting and searching are now case-insensitive. ### May 2025 #### Added the ability to set the user's preferred landing page Users can now select **Visualizations**, **Quick Views**, **Recommendations**, or **Alerts** as their preferred landing page when logging in to RealTheory. In addition, clicking the RealTheory logo in the Console will quickly take you to your preferred view.
