Background
After attempting to log in to the RealTheory console using Google Identity Platform (IDP) as your single sign on (SSO) identity provider, you are redirected to the RealTheory console without being logged in.
Solution
When using Google Identity Platform (IDP) as the identity provider for single sign on (SSO), email
must be selected in the Scope section of the SSO provider configuration. The email
scope grants access to a user's email address and a flag indicates if the email is verified. The email
scope is used to request that Google Identity Platform (IDP) include the user's email and verification status in the ID token and userinfo response.
Procedure
- Log in to RealTheory as a user with one of the following roles assigned to your user account:
- sys_admin
- sso_admin
- In the left-hand navigation menu, click Settings > Identity.
- Do one of the following:
If the IDP identity provider is already configured, scroll to the Scope section, select email, and then click Configure SSO - Provider.
If the IDP identity provider is not already configured, see Setting Up Single Sign On (SSO) for instructions on how to complete the form.
Note: In the Scope section, you must select email.
